Total Nigeria says H1 pretax profit jumps 73%

Fuel retailer Total Nigeria said on 28 July 2010 its H1 10 pre-tax profit jumped to NGN 4.79bn (USD 32m) from NGN 2.77bn in 2009. Turnover at Total, a unit of Francequotes Total SA, was flat at NGN 85.43bn, it said in a filing to the Nigerian Stock Exchange. (Reuters)

French oil company Total said on 28 July 2010 that Nigerian Amenam crude oil production has been reduced slightly due to a technical issue. Amenam crude output in August 2010 and September 2010 was expected to average around 90,000 to 95,000bpd, down from the 120,000 bpd originally planned, trade sources said.
