Another average day in Gaborone with some small activity in BIHL as 216k shares traded.
A much better day in Nairobi with BATK taking the reigns on the activity front as $2.5m worth of shares changed hands in the name. There was some decent action in both Sacom ($2m) and EQBNK ($1.5m) while the rest of the market heavyweigths were rather quiet.
Another decent day thanks to the usual suspect MCBG as 74k shares changed hands in the name while there was also some activity in the very illiquid Universal Partners as 310k shares traded.
A better day in Lagos after yesterday's slow start to the trading week as crosses in UBA ($5.1m), NB ($3.3m), Access ($1.6m) and Zenith ($1.3m) drove proceedings. Banking stocks managed to close the day +1.52% higher thanks to UBA (+5.22%), Access (+4.95%) and Zenith (+1.55%). Consumers closed +1.63% thanks to NB (+2.71%).
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Things slowed down in Harare today with some small activity in OK Zim, Padenga and Delta the only names worth mentioning, but nothing worth writing home about.
