FNBB accounted the lions share of activity today, after trading 324k shares to close at 380t.
A solid day to end the week from a turnover point of view in Nairobi as value traded amounted to $9.9m as locals dominated proceedings. After releasing FY 2014 results after the close yesterday which saw PAT increase +17.48%, KNCB had a very solid day with the name gaining +1.7% on 2.58m shares as foreigners drove the name higher. Safcom continued to gain on foreign demand as the telco gained +0.3% on 9.1m shares. There was some action in the usually illiquid BAT as 128k shares traded. EABL came under pressure from foreign sellers as the brewer fell -2.8% on 675k shares.
The Semdex finished the week in negative territory. MCBG shed 0.4% to close the week off at Rs205.50 on the back of 44.4k shares traded. SBM remained firm at Rs1.00 after 2.2m shares were exchanged.
A better day to end the week in Lagos as turnover amounted to $26.1m thanks to a cross in UACN ($6.13m) early on. There was also some action in NB ($4.42m), GTB ($3.93m) and Flour Mills ($2.80m). Banks closed higher with the sector gaining +0.46% thanks to Access (+2.73%) and GTB (+0.86%). Consumers (+0.56%) also closed in positive territory thanks to Dangote Flour (+4.13%) and NB (+3.31%).

Decent volumes in the likes of CBZ (Unch, 10c), Econet (-2.83%, 51.5c) and DZL (-5.56, 8.50c) steered proceedings. Each counter traded 1.3m, 1.2m and 2.5m shares respectively. Delta had a quiet end to the week as the stock only managed to trade 10k shares, closing at a price of 115c.
