Botswana: DCI +0.15%, USD 54k

The little volume the stock exchange experienced was divided mostly across a handful of names with Letshego ($29k) accounting for 72% of the market, barclays($9k) and BTCL ($3k) making up the numbers.

Kenya: NSE 20 -0.15%, USD 6.74m

The negative streak in Kenya continued as turnover declined slightly. Equity Bank and Safcom dominated the action, accounting for 65% of turnover. Foreign participation on the day was 50%.

Mauritius: Semdex -0.13%, USD 890k

Both the Semdex (-13bps) and the Sem-10 (-17bps) closed the day in the negative territory. MCBG (+0.1%, Rs277.00) and SBMH (unch, Rs7.68) dominated activity accounting for 58% of turnover.

Nigeria: ASI -1.07%, USD 10.16m

It was another negative day in Nigeria on relatively thin volumes while only the Consumers closed in positive territory. Guaranty, Zenith and FBNH were the major names with the highest turnover. 120m shares of Champion Breweries went through at 2.58 in the closing minutes of the market.

A very slow day in Harare today with some small activity in Delta ($99k), Innscor ($49k) and Seedco ($38k).
