An honest day in Gaborone with BIHL ($300k) almost more than a third of total market turnover, Barclays ($266k) Nap ($111k) and Letshego ($96k) being the main contributors on the bourse.
The market closed on a negative note on lower volumes, compared to the previous day. Safcom, Eqbnk, Kncb and Eabl were the most active names on the day, accounting for a total of approximately 72% of turnover. Foreign participation was down to 65% from 76%.
The upward trend continued in Mauritius with Rs132m changing hands geared towards MCBG contributing 78% to the total market turnover. The stock declined -2.8% trading at Rs257.50 the majority of which was foreign buying and selling as its banking peer SBM followed suit closing lower by 1.8% trading at Rs7.56. Alteo gained 0.2% at Rs30.25 as Ciel was unmoved at Rs7.20.
Another positive day in Nigeria continued with the Industrials, Oil& Gas, and Banks leading the gains. Crosses in NB ($4.4m), Zenith ($2.7m), Guaranty ($2.4m) and Intbrew ($1.6m) accounted for approximately 56% of turnover. There was an off market cross in Transcorp worth $39.6m. it was reported to be a block divestment.

Crosses dominating the ZSE on an above average day seeing Innscor trading a massive $5m at 110.00c accounting for 42% of total market turnover. Old Mutual (600.30c, $2m), Delta (200.45c, $1.8m), Econet (120.00c, $1.4m) and Seedco (2.0797c, $1m) all breaking the one million dollar mark.
