Another uneventful day in Gaborone with the main index retreating seeing BTCL being 93% of the market trading a $37k.
Market turnover increased by 51% from the previous trading session as foreign participation increased from 31% to 44%. Safcom (+2.8%) and KNCB (-1.8%) were the most active names on the day, accounting for 29% and 21% of turnover respectively.
Another below par day to kick off the week in Port Louis with the usual suspects contributing to lacklustre start, MCBG (-0.4%, Rs273.00) almost all of which was foreign, SBMH (unch, Rs7.64) and NMH (unch, Rs25.00) contributing to 59% of total market turnover. Swan was up 2.4% trading at Rs1,290.00 and Gama followed suit advancing 0.6% trading at Rs34.20.
The week started on a negative note in Nigeria as the index was dragged lower by the Banks (-0.56%). Crosses in Dangcem ($2.7m), Zenith ($1.7m), Intbrew ($1.3m), NB ($1.1m) and Wapic ($903k) dominated the action on the day.

The main index in Harare gained a notable 15bps with turnover gearing towards the usual movers and shakers as Simbisa defied the norm trading $2.7m at 50.00c. FML (19.91c, $388k), Old Mutual (496.74c, $342k) Padenga (54.66c, $246k) and Econet (103.55, $150k) all had a semi decent day.
