A few crosses in EABL (+0.4%) the only name worth mentioning as 822k shares changed hands in the name on a rather dull day in Nairobi. Safcom closed the day -0.3% lower on very thin volume while the two major banking stocks EQBNK (unch) and KNCB (-2.52%) closed the day mixed on low volume.
A very quiet start to the week in Port Louis with nothing to report.
A much better start to the week than what we have become accustomed to of late in Lagos with turnover increasing to $9.9m thanks to crosses in NB ($4.6m), Zenith ($1.3m) and GTB ($1m). Banking stocks closed the day lower with the sector falling -0.51% thanks to some weakness in GTB (-2.09%). Consumers (+0.05%) closed the day slightly higher thanks to NB (+1.36%).
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
A rather slow start to the week in Harare with some small activity in Delta ($334k) and Econet ($242k).
