Another dull day in Gaborone with some tiny action in Sefalana the only name worth mentioning as 110k shares traded.
A dull day as foreign activity continues to drop. The major activity today was in fact local crossing on both sides in the normally illiquid StanChart (+6.3%, KES218). In normal trading we saw some mild trading in EqBnk (-60bps, KES39.25) and KNCB (+2.3%, KES32.75). The rest of the market was dead.
Apart from some small activity in MCBG there was nothing much to report as 44k shares changed hands in the name on a rather dull day in Port Louis.
Another pathetic day as market participants continue to lose interest. Banks fell by 87bps with just GTB (-87bps, N23.79) and Zenith (-67bps, N16.30) seeing any action. Consumers closed marginallys in the red on low volumes while in the cements there was 1 cross in Dangcem (-52bps, N190.00).
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
An absolutely diabolical day in Harare.
