Nothing to report from Gaborone.
Things slowed down in Nairobi as foreigners remained net sellers with net outflows increasing +34.6%. There was finally some profit taking in Safcom as the telco fell -0.3% on 8.7m shares. EQBNK had a strong day on foreign demand as the counter gained +2.6% with 2.8m shares changing hands. Activity was rather average in KNCB and EABL as 2m shares and 298k shares traded respectively.
Nothing on the go in Port Louis today with all the major names very quiet with a tiny bit of activity in MCBG (28k shares) and NMH (270k shares).
Much of the same in Lagos unfortunately as activity continues to underwhelm. The two heavyweight banking stocks tried to get proceedings going with GTB ($1.7m) and Zenith ($1.2m) the only names to break the $1m mark. On the positive side, banking stocks continued to rally with the sector closing +1.47% higher thanks to Zenith (+2.80%). Consumer stocks (+0.66%) also closed higher thanks to a strong gain in NB (+1.82%).
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Another slow dow in Harare with some activity in Econet ($290k) and Delta ($143k) leading the way.
