A better day in Gaborone thanks to some action in Letshego as 2m shares changed hands in the name.
A better day in Nairobi from an actvity point of view as foreign sellers returned to the market with the NSE 20 Index falling -0.18%. Safcom was the day's most active counter as locals dominated purchases in the telco with 10.6m shares traded on the day. EABL had a very strong day as the brewer managed to close +2.2% higher on foreign demand as 587k shares traded. The two major banking stocks ended the day mixed with EQBNK closing the day unchanged as foreigners dominated purcchases in the counter while KNCB fell -1.2% on foreign selling.
Another sub-par day in Port Louis with MCBG once again driving proceedings as 68k shares changed hands while the broader market remains very quiet.
A better day in Lagos but still nothing to write home about as turnover increased to $7.5m with some activity in Zenith ($1.5m), DangCem ($1.2m) and Access ($1m). Banking stocks had another positive day with the sector gaining +0.91% thanks to FBNH (+2.42%) after the bank released both FY 2015 and Q1 2016 results. Consumers (+0.18%) closed the day higher on tiny volumes with Dangote Sugar (+2.75%) having a good day.

Much of the same in Harare today with some activity in Zimre ($156k) the only name worth mentioning while the heavyweights remain quiet.
