Activity returned somewhat to Gaborone thanks to some action in FNBB (378t) and Stanchart (1145t).
A somewhat improved day in Nairobi as market turnover exceeded Nigeria for the second straight day. Foreign investors were active in Equity Bank (unch, KES 41.00), Safcom (+30bps, KES14.55), BATK (+2.1%, KES784.00) and EABL (+40bps, KES272.00).
Nothing much to report from Port Louis as turnover amounted yet another dull $950k with some small action in MCBG (59k shares) the only name worth mentioning.
Another extremely slow day in Lagos and if it wasn't for a couple of late crosses it would have been even more dull. Banks fell by 1.13% with a chunky cross going through in Sterling Bank ($2.47m). In normal trading the bulk of the action took place in Zenith Bank (-1.42%, N17.35) as red screens yet again littered the sector. Consumers followed suit by losing 54bps although the sector was eerily quiet. There was also a cross in DangCem (+92bps, N165.00).
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Back to normal in Harare with turnover falling to a disappointing $106k.
