Botswana: DCI +0.16%, USD 122k

Nothing much to report from Gaborone as total value traded amounted to $122k with some small activity in Chobe (100k shares).

Kenya: NSE 20 +1.04%, USD 6.1m

A quiet day in Nairobi although foreigners still mostly dominant in the market. The most active stocks were Safcom (-1.6%, KES15.20) and Equity Bank (-60bps, KES40.75) with both of these names seeing some small crossing. Elsewhere in the market there was some action in KenolKobil (unch, KES8.05) and Co-Op Bank (unch, KES20.50).

Mauritius: Semdex +0.12%, USD 950k

A sub-par day in Port Louis as turnover amountd to $950k with some activity in MCBG (60k shares) while SBMH was very quiet with only 3.6m shares changing hands.

Nigeria: ASI -0.34%, USD 21.9m

A few crosses yet again spiced up a generally dull day with the ASI still directionless. The banks fell by 65bps with decent crossing action seen in GTB (-1.63%, N24.20) and Zenith (unch, N16.50). The consumers were also soft (-52bps). There was an early cross in Nestle (unch, N850.02) while later in the session there was a cross in NB (-83bps, N122.00). Outside of this the market was really quiet with just a smidgeon of trading in Oando (-4.17%, N12.42).

Zimbabwe: Industrials -0.38%, USD 1.06m

A better day in Harare as turnover amounted to $1.06m thanks to some action in Delta ($496k), Seedco ($248k) and Econet ($175k).
