Things slowed down in Gaborone today as turnover amounted to $273k with some action in Letshego (385k shares) the only name worth mentioning.
Things slowed down in Nairobi today but it was still very active as turnover amounted to $19.4m as locals continued to dominate proceedings. There was some foreign selling pressure on Safcom as the telco fell -3.6% on 32.75m shares. There was a large local cross in Centum as 6.36m shares changed hands. There were a few foreign crosses in BATK as 177k shares traded in the usually very illiquid name. KNCB closed the day -1.8% lower on foreign selling pressure while EABL closed the day unchanged.
A very impressive day in Port Louis as tunover amounted to $7.51m thanks to a large cross in NMH (2.58m shares) on the crossing board. Elsewhere there was some activity in MCBG as 99k shares traded in the name while SBMH was very quiet.
A better day in terms of activity in Lagos as turnover amounted to $33.2m, but unfortunately the blood bath continued with the ASI falling -2.78%. There was some activity in the likes of GTB ($12.01m), NB ($5.14m), Nestle ($4.31m), ETI ($1.95m) and Zenith ($1.44m). Banks took an absolute beating as the Index fell -4.42% with all the tier-1 names closing limit down. Consumers (-3.63%) were also very weak with Flour Mills (-9.72%), PZ Cussons (-9.71%), Unilever (-5.00%) and NB (-4.83%) to name a few dragging the sector lower.

A much better day in Harare from an activity point of view with turnover amounting to a very respectable $2.67m thanks to some action in DAWN ($1.03m), Delta ($650k) and ECO ($478k). The market continues to fall with the Industrial Index closing -0.64% lower.
