It was a very quiet day in Gaborone, with nothing to be reported.
Not a bad day to end the week in Nairobi even though market turnover declined by move than 24%, foreigners were 66% of the selling and 43% of the buy side. KCB ($1.84m) declined by 0.55% trading at KES45.50, Safcom ($1.45m) was unchanged at KES29.50, Equity ($1.31m) followed suit unmoved at KES42.95 and BATK ($960k) retreated by 0.13% closing at KES769.00.
The indices closed the week in the red with the Semdex down 15bps and the Sem-10 down 21bps. The banking duo also closed in the negative territory with MCBG (-0.70%, Rs272.00) and SBMH (-0.8%, Rs7.66) accounting for 52% of turnover.
Another decent day on the bourse with the financial, consumer and Industrial sectors appreciating by 0.78%, 1.91% and 0.15% respectively while the insurance sector decline by 0.04% and the oil and gas was unmoved. Activity was spread across the board with some crosses in NB (+5.78%, N130.00), Zenith (+0.47%, N31.90), FBNH (+1.74%, N11.70) and Guarnty (+1.25%, N48.60).

The market was slow on thin trades in Harare as today’s turnover was skewed by a handful of securities including Innscor (+0.82%, $0.9225), BAT (unch, $24.00) and Delta (-0.61%, $1.5971), the only names worth mentioning.
