The little volume the stock exchange experienced was divided mostly across handful of names, RDCP ($96k) accounting for 64% of the market, BTCL ($5k) and Turnstar ($4k) made up the rest of the volume.

Kenya: NSE 20 -0.2%, USD 8.6m

The market closed 0.2% lower on the day, as foreign participation declined slightly to 85%. Crosses in Safcom (-0.9%), EABL ( -0.4%) and EQBNK (+0.6%) dominated the action o the day, accounting for over 71% of turnover.

Mauritius: Semdex +0.28%, USD 890k

An average day in Port Louis today with the usual suspects MCBG (unch, Rs278) and SBMH (+0.3%, Rs7.80) dominating turnover. Both the Semdex and the Sem-10 closed higher.

Nigeria: ASI +2.60%, USD 36.9m

The strong start to the year continued in Nigeria, with the index up 9.28% YTD. All indices closed higher, with the Banks (+5.33%) dominating the gains on the day. Zenith, NB, Dangcem, Access and Guaranty were the names with the highest turnover accounting for a total of 58% of total market turnover.

Zimbabwe: Industrials -0.65%, USD 1.17m

Red flashed across almost the whole board on the ZSE today with losses in Fidelity (-19.5), CBZ (-17.01%), Econet (-0.98%), and Innscor (-4.04%). OML ($511k), PPC ($435k) and Seedco ($101k) were the major contributors to the bourse's daily turnover.
