Botswana: DCI -0.02%, USD 130k

A lukewarm day in Gaborone today, with some small activity in Chobe ($76k), Sefalana ($24k) and FNBB ($23k) accounted for 94% of turnover today.

Kenya: NSE 20 -0.32%, USD 11.83m

The index closed lower as turnover increased significantly on the day. Crosses in Safcom dominated the action on the day, accounting for 44% of turnover. Foreign participation was 62%.

Mauritius: Semdex +0.42%, USD 1.52m

A massive decline from yesterday’s booming activity even though it wasn’t a bad day with MCBG accounting for 52% of the market trading at Rs275.00 continuing its topsy-turvy movement up 1.5%. As its banking peer SBMH was following suit appreciating 0.3% trading at Rs7.80, Excelsior followed suit up 2.5% at Rs22.20 and Medine traded large volumes while unchanged at Rs66.00.

Nigeria: ASI +0.42%, USD 20.6m

It was another positive day in Nigeria, with only the Consumers and Oil& Gas indices closing lower on the day. Crosses in NB accounted for over 20% of total market turnover.

Zimbabwe: Industrials +0.01%, USD 2m

A decent day in Harare with two counters driving the market. Delta ($1.22m) accounting for more than 61% of the total turnover and Old Mutual ($713k) totalling over 35% of the market, the rest of the market was extremely quiet.
