The market started the week on a positive note. Engen and BIHL dominated the action on the day, accounting for 66% and 23% of turnover respectively.
The NSE 20 started the week on a negative note with turnover increasing 37%. Foreign participation went up slightly to 82% from 80%. Crosses in Safaricom and Equity Bank dominated the action on the day, accounting for 57% and 26% of turnover respectively.
MCBG (unch, Rs260.00) was the top turnover driver today with 276 shares exchanging hands, of which 276k were foreign sales. Both the Semdex and the Sem-10 dipped closing -0.18% and -0.08% respectively.
Nigeria resumed from its holiday on Friday to close positive, supported by the Consumers, Insurance and Industrials, as the Banks and Oils closed lower. There was a cross of 70m, shares of CUSTODYINS at 3.75. Crosses in Zenith, NB, Guaranty and UACN dominated the turnover on the day with the four above accounting for a total of 61% of turnover.

Only two names worth mentioning in Harare today OML ($335k) and Seedco ($315k) accounted for 91% of total market turnover, with the rest of the other counters were quiet.
