Market turnover on the Nairobi bourse declined by approximately 32% from last weeks close with foreigners assuming 81% of today’s buying and 66% of selling. Safcom (KES27.75) was the only ticker to break the $1m mark advancing 0.90% trading at KES28.00, while Eqiuty (-0.61%, KES40.75), Scan (-5.61%, KES18.50) and KCB (-0.59%, KES42.00) were below par on a tough day.
The banking duo MCBG and SBMH, both unch, were the most actively traded names accounting for approximately half of the total turnover. The indices closed higher today.
An average day on the Lagos bourse and another day of massive crosses dominating today proceedings seeing the banking and consumers ending in the negative territory closing 0.88% and up 0.75% respectively. Zenith (-3.27%, N26.03) about 9% of the market, FBNH (+0.89%, N9.10), GTB (-.83%, N41.65), UACN (-4.63%, N16.70) and Nestle (+3.54, N1,460.00) were the major movers on the day with some decent activity,

An uneventful day to start the week in Harare today, with activity in only a handful counters. Econet (-5.97%, 97.82c) and OML (-7.62%, 4.3939). The most actively traded names in the session were Delta and OML.
